  • Caliper hanger

Had many ask about this." Quickie" drawing.
Stock 1100 kat forks, calipers w/ gsxr wheel and rotors.
The machinist should still have the program , will ask him what he would charge for sets if anyone is interested.

God Bless, It took me forever to find this.
I don't really understand those measurements but maybe someone else will.

There are a ton of measurements missing from that to make an accurate part.

Really? I'm not a machine shop expert but I think I could make that work. Wouldn't have to be super super precise, missing a mm of brake pad contact won't be the end of the world.

What's missing besides the thread pitches where the caliper mounts?

I kind of see whats going on there but I'm not certain. With all these motorcycle measurements lately I think I forgot how to read the American standard...lol
Can you re-organize it to what you think would be a better diagram ?
I'd gladly pay for something that works.
I'd also pay for a speedo insert.
No pressure by the way, I'll figure it out at some point when I get my parts together.

I can see if I can work up something that might work and put it into a proper drawing.

You have all the hole centers relative to a 0.0. That's all you really need. Everything else is kind of relative. That's the hard work.

I sent Mr T McCall a email with a link to this thread which he originally posted. I guess we will see what happens. On the other hand, if some one does take the time to make some thing, make sure the factory brake hoses reach the calipers. The point of doing the conversion this way is to save time and money. I would even go as far as posting a price before beginning any work.

I had to guess and assume a TON for this but here is my first go at the model.
I can get a detailed print in a little.

WOW, it must be nice to be able to make stuff like that. I'm jealous !
I just now got a reply from "T McCall" and he said this:
" Hello, can get ahold of the fella that made those for me.Havnet seen him for some time. But , any machinist can duplicate. My son works for mcintosh and could machine those easy enough. Speedo: assume you are talking kat to gsxr. The factory 1100 kat speedo assembly will work but need to spread the 2 little drive tabs a bit to catch gsxr insert if you know what i mean.Works fine.
                    Will ask machinists
                    Thanks...Terry"
Looks like I may be on the fast track to debt if this keeps showing promise...lol

                    EDIT: 1-16,-2015
T McCall say he can reproduce these brackets for $110
Send him a email because he doesn't log on to the forum much these days, a private message may go un-noticed.
