Pre Start

I have 06 600 and she's been down for 3 months, no battery. and needed new tire and chain. economy got me. fuel has been in my carbs setting there, plus i think that the pistons are dry. Any advice before i fire up. Of course new fuel and oil.

I didnt do any preperation last winter. The bike sat up for atleast 4 months. It started up pretty normal.
Also, I just installed a motor that was in storage for several years without any oil at all. Its running fine, so far anyway

If your really concerned, get some fogging oil and squirt some in the spark plug holes and get some starting fluid. I think you'll be o.k

From what I've learned the Katana motors are pretty tough
