  • Changing the spark plugs

Just want to know what type and which plug to use to replace fouled plugs in my 1989 katana 600. I do not have an owners manual and the bike has been sitting for 6 years. I suspect that the plugs are fouled. I have changed the gas already and the other day she started up but was running a little rough and I suspect it was the plugs.

    Can anyone assist?

    Von

Also what gap to set them at.....

The carbs gum up fast if it's not ridden. I'd suspect the tiny holes in your emulsion tubes need to be cleaned (with a .020 wire).

Sorry to all the guys that are tired of hearing me keep saying it, but it works perfectly.

By the way, the plug gap is 0.6 - 0.7 mm.

But I have never needed to gap a fresh NGK, they come out of the box right. (Never used the Iridiums, though.)
