Is it possible for older carbs on a newer cat?

    Hey Fastnotch the tube between is the vent tube. More than likely the petcock is causing the problems. These things are finicky with the float settings too. On the newer carbs is a tps sensor you don't have to have it on either model.

    Rebuild or replace the petcock clean the primary's and double check the floats and you should be good only vacuum line goes to the petcock.

    You might have to replace the float needle seats. I've seen them bleed off with a bad petcock and the bike still run fine though. Just about any munki seat will work.
