  • air filter??????

ok i was wondering on the 92 kats do u evr have to change the air filters or do u jus clean them? and if you clean them then is there a special way how?

yeah you can clean them. Take the filter out of the air box and blow compressed air around the outside of the filter. If its old though you better of replacing with a stock filter.

Yeah, you need to replace your filter if you ride it.

Stock air filter interval is supposed to be cleaned every oil change (blow air from the outside to the inside, or knock it against something to knock out any large particles trapped in the inside) and replaced every 11k miles. It is a paper & cotton wadding filter, so no "washing it" (the filters you wash & re-oil are all aftermarket filters, not the OEM filter).

Depending on where you live & ride, you may get a lot more distance out of a filter than 11k before it needs replacing. On the other hand, if it gets wet (fuel spilling from the carbs, etc.) it'll need to be replaced a lot earlier than 11k miles.
