I tried that cheezy leather repair kit deal that you see from time to time for my rip. Either it sucked as a product, or I suck at leather/vinyl repair, because it didn't work for crap. Made it look worse.

Just re-cover it..... Vinyl is cheap and if you get the stretchy stuff it's not bad at all to work with.... Overall about $7.00 to repair if you do it yourself!

+1 on recovering it. $10 - $25 worth of material, plus a staple gun. Use marine-grade seating vinyl if you can get it, because it's designed to stand up to a lot of UV exposure that some other grades of vinyl aren't.

Before you do that, you may also want to check eBay to see if someone is selling a perfectly good seat for less than that (98+ seats often go for under $20).

                        Cheers,

make sure it is a pneumatic staple gun a regular type won't penetrate the seat plastic
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
                          And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
                          RIP Marc
