  • A/F screw setting (rich/lean)

    Got a question,
Last week after a couple days of riding my #2 failed firing. I took the plugs out and checked them #1, #3 and #4 looked good, #2 was not having spark and looked black.
Could it be that when it runs to rich (having the A/F out to far) that it floods the plugs and makes it fail?

no, if the plug don't spark thats why it's black, check the gap?

checked the gap, was perfect. I also took the coil off because the cbale moved a little more than the others, pulled it and plugged it back into the coil.
      Than I had spark again.
      Could my coil go bad?

not if 3 is good, you don't lose 1/2 a coil.

Well I missed the day today riding it... sh** but tomorrow I will take it out again and put maybe an extra 30 minutes on it just riding around.
I keep an eye on the coil it may have been just the loose cable.

NGK: Compare your spark plugs to this chart

coil is fine, most likely, but the wire or plug might be shot. you can check the wire by arcing a screwdriver in the wire to the frame, or swapping the plug to another cylinder to see if a known good plug fouls. if the swapped plug fouls, then it is the problem

i am not sure it the wires are supposed to be replaceable
