  • Morgan Carbtune, need help.... Nevermind

    I figured it out.

I am in the process of purchasing a carbtune, and I wanted to get the extension kit to make it easier in the future to hook up to the carbs. I received an e-mail back from a sales rep saying they didn't think that the extensions will work on my bike.

Does anyone know if these extensions are compatable with our bikes?

You don't need any of the nipple adaptors on the Kats (at least not the 98 - 06 Kats; pretty sure they don't apply to the pre-98's either).

You could install the remote extension kit (well, just the nitride hoses and caps), but it would be a waste, because while you can run the hoses out to somewhere where you can get at them with the tank still in place, there would be no way to hit the adjusters to compensate while the tank is on. Moreover, the extra hoses would just be a potential point for more vacuum system leaks. I'd skip it.

PS - I love my Morgan.

    Cheers,
