    What do the plugs do? Kinda seems like they would prevent the carb from working properly. Someone care to explain this to me?

      The plugs are there to keep the gas metered the way it NEEDS to be , while giving you access to the polit jet if it needs to be taken out . Fuel is SUPPOSED to go through the main jet first , the through a small port just past there to the pilot jet . If the plugs WEREN'T there ,then extra fuel will get into the system , making it run too rich .
