  • How to tell between a 600 and a 750 with a 98 Kat

So if the stickers arent on the bike, how can tell "visually" if its a 600 or a 750?

    TIA
    DJ

The fastest and easiest way: Look at the VIN plate.

If you're just wanting to tell from a distance:
    heel plates for the driver
    tripletree top arrangment
** But both of those could be bolt-ons to a 600...

Are the heel plates the triangle lookin things where the heel would be?

Also, is this a 750 cluster?

      Thanx

Yes, but they are different between the 600 & 750 -- the 600's bolt directly to the frame -- the 750's sit on a support bracket.

600 & 750 clusters look identical in the 98+ Models.
That is a cluster from a '98 or first half of '99 -- note the fact that the Suzuki logo is on the right (instead of an actual clock).

BTW - congrats on getting that salvage bike on eBay (at least I'm guessing you're the same DJ420 on eBay).

LOL, yup that was me. Im going to pick it up this coming weekend. I didnt bother asking the size of the motor because it didnt matter to me. I just really like the +98 models.

Anywho, now I want to know. Since your familiar with it, could you tell what it was?

          Thanx

Heel kick plates and handle-bar configuration tell me it's a 600, or someone did a lot of mods to a 750 to make it look like a 600.

              Cheers,

The 750's foot pegs are different, they have that "bar" on the bottom of them.

It should be stamped on the side of the motor as well.
