  • Sitting for winter

I've just overhauled the engine/tranny this winter and obviously removed the carbs. I drain all gas from carbs (using overflow tube, flipping upside down the carbs) and dropped it in my bedroom for winter. I'm bout to put back everything together and was wondering if it was a bad idea to do so ? Could any seal/gasket been drying during this time ? (about 6 months) Any precaution to take before putting back the carbs on bike ?

    Thanks a lot !

Although it's possible the o-rings dried out, it's uncommon unless the bike is already old and borderline. Replacing them every 4 years is a wise precaution either way.
