I've got a 03 750 kat, and this past saturday I took her past 105mph for the first time. She coughed out at 121 when I hear that she should cough out at 140. Could someone give me some ideas why it's max'in out at 121. Thanks in advance for the help.

Your physical size (wind resistance), gearing other than stock (calculated speed incorrect or hit the redline at lower speed because of different ratios or both), tires significantly different size than stock (calculated speed incorrect), bike running at less than it's potential (overly thick oil, bad top-end jetting, very worn chain & sprockets, old fuel).

      maybe you'r speedo reads right..
They are optimistic by quite a bit..
Maybe 140 top speed is indicated and you are reading true?
