OK, I take it all back because I made a dumb mistake.
It seems you don't need to shorten the 1100 push rod (100mm long) just adjust the cable to it.
I just made a test rod from a couple 6mm bolts end to end. Put those in there and got the cable clutch to work fine.
Crap, now I gotta make or buy a new push rod.

Sorry, I guess I failed to ask the "did you adjust it first" question.

        Ok, I cut a new push rod 100mm x 6mm from a cheap screw driver, $2 maybe?
this works out mo-betta a few ways:
Nobody liked the hydraulic from the get go back in in 1989.
The hydraulic sprocket cover would have to be ground off in the lower right corner to fit this frame.
I'd have to use a Katana 1100 shift lever that's a couple inches farther away from the foot peg, plus the 750 shift lever is very adjustable.
PS:I'm using the passenger pegs up front, because I can feel the end better through my boot sole.

        Katana 1100 shift lever

Phew just glad I don't need a hydraulic assembly.

So what are you doing for timing and spark management.

Are you going for a stock cdi box and 1157 coils or an aftermarket approach?

I'm going to start with the 750 CDI, seems many people do. All it does is the spark advance. As an old timer from pre-electronic distributors, not much going on there. Unless you're trying for incremental better mileage or competitively racing. It would have to be part of a complete fuel injection through exhaust system to really matter.
Plug gap is the same 750-1100.

Hold the phone, so my existing coils and cdi box will work with my b12?

                Omg im an idiot.

Can my existing spark plugs work as well. They have like 1 mile of use.

The 750 and 1100 NGK spark plugs have the same heat range, but one letter is different they don't explain, 750_NGK JR9C, GSXR1100_NGK JR9B.

From my googleing, it looks like the jr9b is single electrode, and the jr9c is multi electrode.

I just bought the B, and it looks like yours. The C looks familiar but I put those in 4 years ago so, can't remember.
                          The C looks mo-betta.

The C is the type the post kats take. The B is what the mnual called for, so its what I put in my 1100. But if everything else is the same and the C is compatible, it definitely looks mo betta

OK, got my Katana1100 oil cooler with lines bolted in.
These lines are bigger than the 750 and shorter, so you can see I made extensions for the lower brackets, and fabricated a bracket at the top.
Holds it in very tight. No touchy the headers or frame.

Does the 750 starter work with the swap or did you have to source one?
