i have the V&H supersport on now but would like to change the can. what options do i have since i already have the 4-1 header....fabrication would not be a problem so any suggestions i'm open to
what i'm not sure about though is how a "slip on" exhaust works exactly. there is not any available for my bike so i have never done this before. i realize this won't just fit on mine with out fab work but just need some ideas as to how to do it.
You have what a pre 98 with a V&H full system? A slip on works like so. You use the stock 4 into 1 header. Than a mid pipe that runs from the header to the muffler, than the muffler. A slip on is just the mid pipe and the muffler. You use the stock headers. A full system is everything, the headers and all. The 88-97 Kats don't have a slip on because it's a 4 into 2 exhaust. The 98-06 Kats do, because it's a 4 into 1.
ok that is what i thought. i do have the 4 to 1 header but my mid pipe and muffler r 1 piece....i'm gonna cut the muffler off and go from there with the new slip on and do whatever welding i gotta do...thanks guys
