  • Anyone ever try aftermarket rearsets on a Kat?

I've been wanting to get some lower positioned rearsets for my bike, however I couldnt find any that were listed as a direct fit, so I was wondering if anyone has tried something custom?

Pretty sure I've seen it done. Doesn't Raask make rearsets for the Kat?

SCR MOTORCYCLES KATANA PRODUCTS. Reasr sets, sprockets, cowls, sliders, brake lines, clutch kits, gas caps.

But my personal plan is to go the route Teddy suggested. Probably go with the GP style shifting, 1 up 5 down.

I like the thought of gp style... but what if i forget in the middle of a corner before i get used to it!? of what if i'm riding someone elses bike and forget that i have been accustom to gp style.

Always that possiblility, thats where memory comes in lol.
BTW il_ragazzo, tried my pegs with lead weight and rubber tops. For the time being I'm going to semi permenantly mount the weights, they did the most in reducing vibration on the gp pegs. The rubber did help but not enough for me to detract from the look I wanted. If you don't mind the look I would suggest both mods, but for me the added weight is sufficient.

GREAT thank you for trying that out for me. I think I'm sold on those pegs now.

non-adjustable, but with my aftermarket tail/seat setup and front end swap and rear suspension setup its more like a SS riding postion. city riding can get uncomfortable with stop and go traffic but longer rides out in the country-side its not bad at all
