Ok, sorry for the wait... crazy busy

The bike is by no means done...just together.

I did not get to buff up to a shine yet, and still have some high spots.

Lower fairings are not on yet either..

Yes, I am currently in the process of trimming everything. Thats why the bottom fairings aren't on yet. Although, as I said I am very busy and this is taking much longer than expected.

Gives me hope for "repairing" some cracked plastics in the future. With all those curves you have, makes me glad I have a Pre-Kat. Have you noticed if the color on the plastics shows through the CF?
        Never responded to this..my bad.

Yes, you can see through the fiber. Especially on the bends as it distorts the weave ever so slightly. You can't really tell after you resin it up as it all comes to a level surface and the pieces are black.

I see powder coating in the future....black. Powder coat that swing arm black...maybe some black mesh too. That would just set it off!! Murder that thing out, it will be sick....

More pics when the polishing is done...

OK, anyone got some tips for bringing the shine back to this?

It was wet like shiny before I started sanding, now It looks like @$$. Any ideas? I need to bring the shine back up, it's really buggin me.

It was wet sanded down to 2000 grit. Do I just need to hit this hard with the buffer?

                  Thanks in advance!

Yeah after 2000 you must polish it, start with a high cut then move on to smoother polish.

I would say 10 lbs max...
CF is really light and you end up sanding down most of the resin, so there's not too much of that either.

I think the 4yards of CF with a ton of cardboard and padding was a pound or 2.
