    when I bought my PR3 set I google'd for a front/rear combo. Saved a few bucks.

I have had conti motions for about 10k miles on my Kat (tread is still pretty good but I ran over a screw). Never had any problems with them. first 2k was mostly city driving and some fun mountain roads in Utah. Since then it has been almost 100% city driving. Just ordered a new set for $160 from http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/...ION-TIRE-COMBO

I know others have had less pleasant experiences with them but I had no problems and didn't even think about buying anything else for the new ones.

i just put a pirelli angel gt on the rear, i was running bridgestones bt023 for both front and rear, still have a lot of tread left on my front, put the angel gt on the rear and it feels great has good grip have yet to push it past its limit. haven't been caught in the rain yet with it, been a pretty dry year for me on the central coast of cali i like the grip, don't really have any input on tread life because i haven't worn it out yet (only have maybe 1k on it) i got about 7k out of my bridgestone, which i still could have rode for a while longer but the back end felt kinda squirly when it wore down.
