  • What length chain for this set up?

    Going to a 16T front sprocket, 48T rear, how long of a chain will I need?

      Nope, and don't want to. I thought I could fit a 16T on the front. Maybe I will go with the 15/45...trying to bump up the fuel economy a little cause I do a lot of highway riding, 90 miles a day.

      Thanks for telling me about the modification required before I ordered parts...

        Anytime However I don't believe you will notice a difference in your fuel economy by dropping 2 teeth in the rear, just less low end performance.

          Maybe not much, but it out to reduce the RPMs a little and make my daily drive a little less "buzzy". We'll see. I will report back.

              Yet another good catch. 2006 Katana 600. I'm distracted by having a torn apart bike.

                15/47 stock with a 118 link chain. It's 1 link per tooth but you can't have an odd numbered chain. So for 15/45 you would need a 116 link chain.
