After a challenging weekand, where I used a screwdriver and hammer to try and adjust my rear pre-load, I've thought of another route to go down without purchasing a c-spanner.

Has anyone used compressors on their rear shock in situ?

would these work? they seem to be cheap enough and may do the job. I'm a little worried that the hooking part is too long and would damage the main shock body?

I've seen these, but are more expensive (need to penny pinch at the mo!)

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Gareth.

Um , I picked up the whole factory toolkit for about the price of a new spanner wrench , and nothing I've ever tried worked as well .

You can also buy just the crescent tool for the shock from some third party sources (cheaper - I think it was $13 US) or from any Suzuki dealer (more expensive), but getting a whole toolkit off ebay is a much better choice, and you can usually net those for under $20.
