Thanks you guys.My way of checking sag isn't totally wrong just not as accurate.

Hey Tmod, when I do emulators in my forks, what are your thoughts on installing preload adjusters in the fork caps?I read a post where you don't recommend installing the rebound adjusters on top of the emulators.Have you found this to still be true?I know the post I found was old but things change over time. How difficult would it be to pop the rebound caps, off the fork caps, gut them, and install preload adjusters?I did this on a set of GS5 forks, but they where plain caps with a 3/8 drive slot to remove them. That set up involved drilling the caps, weld on a nut, install the adjuster, and lock nut.Not sure how the Kat fork caps are made internally.I never tempted fate by taking them apart.Never seen a reason to.BTW,Is 15w fork oil thin enough to use with the RT emulators and me riding hard in the mountains?A quick reacting suspension is nice.

I still stick by removing the rebound adjuster completely from the damping rod when doing the emulators. One it blocks the emulator ports and we don't want to interfere with fluid flow through the emulator. Two by removing the rebound adjuster and plugging all the holes you can run a slightly lighter fluid and as shown in the graph above and that is a good thing.

In regards to a preload adjuster you could do what you are referring to or try a set of SV650 caps that sell for about $50.00 for the pair. They are very simple caps but they do work.

I don't like using wt numbers as I prefer going by cSt @40 deg centigrade for emulator usage, Pick a fluid that is in the mid 30's @ 40 deg centigrade and call it good.

Tmod,is this the fork oil you recommend to use with emulators? It's listed as 15w racing fork oil.
