  • Rear suspension setting on K4+ 750

    Hi everyone,

I want to play with my suspension and found a bunch of posts about what number to set my rear suspension to, but I don't think that applies to the 2004+ 750. Mine doesn't seem to have any numbers on it, just an adjustable thread system. Looking at the Haynes manual, it mentions numbers for the rear suspension on the 600.

Can anyone help with a rough guide to settings for me? I have it stock at the moment. And I weigh about 230 lbs (I prefer 105kgs... sounds lighter )

    Thanks.

I can't say if the 750 has numbers or not. just add preload in small increments and test ride till you find the setting you're comfy with.

Do a thread search for the phrase static sag.

I'm thinking you'll probably want preload of 5 out of 7 and damping of 2 or 3 out of 4 (with the higher number being more in both cases).

Check the owner's manual for instructions.
