Is it possible to put a 00-03 GSXR 600 speedo/tach cluster on a 00 GSXF 600 katana? Will it work or would the harneses be different?

I'd bet the harness would be different, but that is could be repinned or an adapter made to make it work. Depends on alot of things really, but I'm betting Suzuki used alot of the same parts in its different models.
If I can find a set of GSXR gauges for around $100 I'll give it a try and post it up for everyone. I now $100 is pretty low, but I don't want to wrap too much money up in something that may or may not work.
Does anyone have pictures of GSXR gauges powered up?2000 Katana 600

Well with the wiring diagrams from both bikes you could just make your own wireing harness for it.
I can get a set of guages for $150 right now but wanted to get some input before I went and did this.
Now what about mounting them? I am guessing that would have to be modiffied also.2000 Katana 600

I would bet that the 2006 would be a lot different. My 2000 has carbs. The 2006 with fuel injection has an electronic control unit that I would bet sends the signal to the guage cluster rather than being more direct-read like the analog guages on the 2000. The digital tach probably requires more power leads than the analog, also.

Umm thats a little small..
I have the GSXR 600 book. (huge download)
Looks pretty straight forward.
A wire off the CDI for the tach.
A few wires for power
The turn signals, oil etc.
Then 2 wires for the speedo pick up.
The only question (and the wireing can't answer this)
is the signal from the tach/speedo.
I think it's safe to say the speedo signal is 12 volts.
A speedo healer will fix any differences in the
pick up (actually the gearing anyway) but is the signal from the CDI the same? It may not be 12 volts..
Who knows?
I don't any easy way of figuring this out.
It's possible that a junk yard dash, broken and
cheap (except that the tach works) could solve this.
Hook the tach wire from the Kat to it..

I found a manual for download and will be looking it over tonight. Like you said, will probally have to try hooking it up and taking some readings etc and just see what happens.2000 Katana 600
