Welcome! I just got an 1100 (1992) last week. If you're not familiar with the site yet, there's a downloadable manual in the wiki section, and a special section for the 1100's on the site. You aren't limited to posting there by any means, but if you have a question specific to an 1100, you'll probably get a faster/more accurate response there.
