  • Hello from Ontario Canada

I am a fairly new rider, I just bought my Ninja 500 back in May and put about 3800km on it over the summer.

It's a bit small for my 6'3 280lb frame so I after some research I am starting to look around for a used Katana 600 or 750.

Thought I'd say hi and check out this site for some things to look for when buying a bike. I may wait until spring before buying, still not decided.

            Lots of Canadians on here.

I'm 6' 210lbs and the kat fit me perfectly. The 750's have a bit higher handlebars and a bit more torque.

Try to find one with minimal mods and an older rider.

            With good maintenance they'll do 100,000 +km

I sold mine with 30,000 km and it looked and ran like it was new.

I would recommend nothing less than the 750

thanks guys, my ninja is sold.. little sad as it was my first bike but it was just to cramped. I am going tomorrow to check out an 01 Katana 600.

was not at all impressed with the Katana I saw last night, very poor condition. Looking at another one tomorrow hopefully it's in better shape. it's 5 years newer, only has 20,000km on it (12,000 miles) and its a $1,000 more so it better be!

THe bike did feel a lot more comfortable for me though then the ninja did, didn't feel cramped at all.
