Hi folks, greetings from Oz. My name is Justin and my Kat or GSXF as they are known here is a 6/2000 model in black and grey. I have done 32,000kms since I bought her new in May,2001. Mostly touring rides up to 1000 kms in a day. Glad its got a comfy seat and great riding position. I have made a few mods to my Kat, I went up one tooth on the front sprocket for more relaxed cruising, added a K& N air filter and put a rack on the back. I have had no trouble with the bike although I recently stripped out the oil pan plug hole whilst doing an oil change. That aluminium is very soft, a heli-coil insert fixed the problem. I will be less ham-fisted in the future!! The Kat cruises at 110-120km/h easily and I get around 45mpg. I am very pleased with the bike and intend to keep her for a long time.
