    Hello everyone,
I'm glad to be a member of the KatRiders.
    I am seeking to purchase a Katana 750 2001-2005
any tips you can share with me on what to look for when purchasing this used bike?

Welcome to KR! There are lots of things to look for.
    • How well does it appear that the bike has been maintained.
    • Any evidence that the bike has been down.
    • Does it track straight
    • Do all the gears work well shifting through all of them.
    • Check the condition of the tires, sprockets and chain
    • And finally, how well it runs. If the Kat has been sitting for a long time (months, years, etc.) you may end up having to clean the carbs to get it to run well.

    Good luck with your search!

Welcome to KR, from Apopka! I looked at a few 05 or 06 Kats in the area. I noticed allot of bikes did not idle or run smooth. Most seemed to have carb issues.
