  • Loving my Kat

    Well hi everybody. I was looking for a commuter/"where the hell did my manhood go"/MPG saver. I had only owned and ridden cruisers before, but couldn't find anything in my budget. Fellow posted a 2006 Katana 600 on Craigslist for $2000. Just happens that my working partner is a bike mechanic and checked it out with me. Bought it the next day and started surgery immediately.

    Bike was neglected and put down hard at least once, but the frame and engine were fine. Several days and dollars later and she is awesome. I've put 1000 miles on her since and I'm happy as can be.

    Great forum. Thanks for the wisdom!

    Here is a before and a couple of after pics... (left side looked like hell before)

                              Welcome to KR! Your original paint scheme is the same as what is on mine... Factory jobs. Is the new paint job on new fairings? If so, are you looking to sell your original fairings? When mine got stolen they really damaged and scratched up my right side and busted my lower fairing.

                              Nice paint job. Where did you snag the farings from?
                              All the world's a stage,
                              And all the men and women merely players;
                              They have their exits and their entrances,
                              And one man in his time plays many parts,
                              His acts being seven ages.
