So I picked up my first bike, and first Kat. Checked out these forums and looked through a lot of stuff before I decided to do it. I picked up a 93 750 that was stashed away in a storage shed in the back of a retired old man's house for $900. It's got about 8500 original miles on it, and hasn't been touched for 3 years. It wasn't running, nor trying to turn over when I got it, so once it was home I got a new battery in it, and gave it a go. Not running yet, but it's on it's way. I'll post up pictures later. I've got it torn apart right now fixing the things that I've found wrong with it.
It looks like it was originally blue, painted kawasaki's green color, and now black. I'm planning on stripping it down and doing a new color, my gf and I haven't picked one yet. I'm going to see what I can find. Fixing all the cracks and scuffs first. The gas tank also had a big dent, seemingly from a pole hitting it, so I've put a giant slab of bondo on it for now that I'm going to touch up until I get a new tank.
Either way, happy to have my first bike, and loving that it's in such great shape
Looking forward to chatting with you all, and continuing to use all the great info on here.
