New to katanas also just bought a 1996 Katana 600 last week, found the transmission blown to bits (pics to come) so I bought a wrecked 1992 Katana 600 on friday for a donor motor and some other parts. Already running and runs great. My other street bike is a 1995 Honda Shadow 600 VLX (which I noticed a familier name from the vlx site Hardlydangerous)

Thanks guys. These bike are pretty simple. I'm in process of getting rid of the red painted stuff and most of the diamond plate and a lot of the other custom dodo. The swing ARM has been extended 4 inches and I have lowering links to go on also. One good thing is the bike I got the engine from only has 12000 miles.

                  Welcome to the Site!
Sounds like you're getting some good experience working on your bike. Good job on finding that parts bike with low miles and hopefully good parts.

Very nice. Growing up, my mom drove a 72 Chevelle. She traded it for a horse for me when I was 14. I never forgave the horse for not being the car.
