Simple, name is Rod and I have become a proud owner of a 1999 Suzuki Katana 600. Upon purchasing the bike, I began maintenance as this is the best way to get personal quickly and see what I had just purchased. Story goes that the owner stored this beauty for 7 years and then gave it to his brother to use as a daily commuter. And so it was used for 2 years without proper maintenance. Quickly getting to work on it, I changed the air filter, oil filter along with oil change, set the valves, new fork oil and new engine cover gasket. I'm still awaiting new parts that include: stainless steel brake lines (upon receiving these I will put new brake fluid), frame sliders (which I bought thanks to the recommendation from this amazing site), and bar end sliders. Still not done with maintenance but close to it.
