  • Hello Everyone!.. First Bike.

I bought a 2005 Kat 600 about 2 weeks ago and loving it so far! The day I bought it was my first time on a bike in about 8 years, so riding it home was a little sketchy... I've added about 700 miles to the ODO since then and think I'm about ready to find some nice curves to lean into..

Anyhow, I'm 24, live in Tennessee (Nashville area).. Anyone else out there from the area?

Been prowling around KR for a couple weeks now and have learned a LOT from this site already... but I'm sure I'll still have some newbie questions for anyone kind enough to address... the first one Being:

    I've been eyeing this slip-on..
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLACK-04-05-Katana-GSX600-GP-SLIP-ON-DRAG-pipe-Exhaust-/180604688197?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash =item2a0ce0d745

...done some searching around the site and some have said there wont be enough back pressure with it on... talking to co-workers who ride (one rides a early 00's Bandit 1200, unsure of the other), they say they dont think that will be an issue.. Does anyone here have any experience with this particular exhaust? Will I need to re-jet the bike can I just adjust the A/F?

.. sorry for such a long first post, I have many more questions but going to use that handy "search" box some more before asking any more..

I don't think you'll need to rejet it. It might pop a bit when you let off at higher rpms, but i think thats good so people know you're around in the city areas.
