I can't believe it has taken over a year to find this place. I don't know how I missed this site with all the net trawling I have done for info/spare parts on my bike.
I have a black 750 - 2002 - sold here in New Zealnd under the GSX750F badge. However, there are quite a few badged as Katana trundling around. And I mean trundling in the best possible way - like leaning hard into a challenging left-hander.
I have had the bike for nearly two years having covered nearly 50,000 trouble-free kms (sorry guys/gals, I gave in to metric many years ago). Whatever measure you use, thats a few hours in the saddle, and looking forward to many, many more.
I started on a pushbike at four with the cardboard and clothes pegs motor, graduated to 90cc Honda farmbikes at 11, rode off-road through my teens, then took to the highway at 19 on a Suzuki GT185 Twin. That bike lasted me for 11 years. In between I have riden a variety of road bikes but not consistently until I bought this bike.
I sat on my GSXF and was instantly at home, although it took me a few visits to the gym to get me comfortable with hard riding. Its cc rating was just what I was after and it has a look that I never tire of. I still look at it and think what a handsome beast it is.
Actually it is not an it - its a he. Yep, I'm one of those quirky nutters who gives their bikes a personality and a name (I never named any of my cars). I'll probably get a hard time from some of the members for that but all I have to say is . . .![Put a stick in it](https://katriders.com/core/images/smilies/stick.gif)
I'll post a pic when can either find or take a good one.
In the meantime, I intend to roll around the resources available here like a pig in a mudbath. I need to absorb some knowledge and Kat related wisdom.
So a big howdy to all Kat owners and other riders here and a special big
to all the Kat ryders for their excellent choice in motorcycle.
Cheers
