    Started an account on here before but dont know what happened to it.
    New to motorcycles in general (only 19)

    Got 2 katanas for projects over the winter. Gonna keep one and fix it and part out the other.

    One im gonna keep is a 89 600
    Other is a 93 600

    Like i said. Im new lol. Learning as i go.

      Like i said 95 has the salvage title (too many problems here in ny)

      And the 93 is in pretty rough shape. Dont think it will ever work again. And oddly enough the 89 is in the best shape and has the least miles and such

        this is just my opinion but I would strip both bikes and make the 93 the bike to keep it would be worth more but that's just me

            Just toss the salvaged frame and use the other one, put all the good parts on it.

            Bam, done.

                  Welcome sounds like u got ur work cut out for u. Search is ur bestfriend here has helped me a lot. I'm also fairly new to the bike world and learning as I go but I do have to say one thing its very addicting lol

                    I've been fixing up my first bike, which is an 89 600 like yours. Got any questions? :P

                    IMHO, the carbs are nicer than later years for a variety of reasons.
                    Also, screw-type valve adjusters on the 89... No shims to replace. Most of it is identical to the later ones, though.

                    The only thing that's been hard (and not super hard, just harder) to find parts for is the carbs/boots/airbox.
