  • Hello ladies and Gentlemen, My intro.

Hope everyone is having a great new year. I stumbled onto the site while looking for information about finding parts for my bikes. I have not been capable of riding since an injury I received in on the job accident. But after two years I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! I was starting to see the 1993 GSX1100F Katana come into focus. Needless to say we, "my son, brother, & myself",have a little work to do to bring her back around. To my dismay I was not able to find origonal parts right away. Did luck out and find a used Kat of the same year for cheap as parts. Only to get it home and find it only needed a few short minutes of elbow grease to get her up and running. Aside from a few minor cosmetics this carbon copy is ready to go. Flash it hit me," along with my wife",(literally)I am gonna have to get both of them ready for the street. They only have about 22-23 k miles on each one. My son's eyes kinda glazed over and asked is that mine!? Not if you want me to stay married to Mom!!! My plan is to set one up for long distant rides and one for fun rides. Yeah, I know they are all fun on the Kat. Before the 1100's I had a 750 Kat. low maintenance high reward, what more could you ask for? Well wish me luck and keep your eyes open for my posts.

McGuire AFB, NJ? Are you an USAF member? How long have you been riding the 1100? Been a rider since I was 5 and a driver since I was 7. If it has wheels I will drive it! But the Kats are what the masses need. Low maintenace high reward, basically they are cars on two wheels. Enlisted member of the ANG, USAF.
