hey everyone just joined and glad to be here. I ride a yellow/black 04 katana 600 that I've put almost 30,000 miles of PURE JOY on. I wanted to join this site because I am so amazed at all the Katana haters out there. I have ridden everything from ducati to rebel and the Katana is the only bike for me. I am 6'3'' so the comfort it allows me is unmatched unless I want to switch to a cruiser or something less sporty (which I don't) and it is MORE than fast enough considering I already have 5 tickets (4 for speeding). In my humble opinion, people who hate on kats either just haven't ridden one before or just think it's cool to hate on them because all the other gsxr heads are doing it. Anyone who has really spent time with one knows that while not doing any one thing amazingly well (stunt, speed, handling etc) it does do a VARIETY of things very well. Also they are SUPER reliable, I have put some hard miles on mine and it starts up first time every time.

As you can tell I LOVE my katana, just happy to find an outlet for finding other people who feel the same way because so far all I have found in the motorcycle world is a whole ton of bias and hatred against katanas and those who ride them. I am 6'3'' and a professional bodyguard with a lifetime worth of combat training and it's just getting harder and harder not to knock the guy on the busa's teeth out for calling my kat a chick bike....

sorry for the bad thread title didn't realize till after that everyone and their brother has already said that, plus I wasn't even creative enough to think of new kat on the block which is even more pathetic hahaha sorry guys not a great start

thanks for the welcomes guys I'm really happy I joined. All I can think about anymore is trying to save up a couple of pay checks so I can start working on my ride. When I can afford it I really want to get a new more comfortable seat (mine is finally starting to fray a bit on the bottom from setting it on the ground stupidly too many times), I don't know if anyone has any good suggestions about seat upgrade?

Also I really want to go up 2 teeth on my rear sprocket for a little more low end power, although I'm not sure about how much this will cost me? A jet kit would also be awesome but that and a new exhaust will probably have to wait for more money to be saved up, but I'm still open to suggestions and comments on the matter as it's always fun to think about it

oh TRUST I have gotten kanatuna plenty of times. And i'm sorry fellow rider I meant nothing by the chick comment, a rider is a rider regardless of bike or gender!

and ya kanatuna is the worst one I just didn't want to perpetuate the term I guess by using it haha.
