    Hey guys!
New suzuki rider here. Going out tommorow to buy and pick up my first motorcycle. Its a 1994 katana, gsxf I believe. Just wondering if anyone had any advice for a new rider. I probably won't really rife it until next summer/spring because I live up in michigan, but id appreciate any advice!

            Hey Fault!
I'm two weeks into 1989 Kat ownership and my advice is to get a good look at what needs to be replaced and don't be afraid to try to get the price lower to compensate! Filters/sprockets/chain/tires/fairings/grips/brake-lines/etc. If you can, take a biker friend with you; (s)he'll know what to look for and about how much things are worth. I got my price down to make up for the things I knew I would have to replace, but found out only after getting it home that it has no center-stand and no belly fairing :P There are so many parts on the thing it's easy to miss stuff!
Good deal finding this site... there is so much info. The search feature will be your best friend quick

Actually only getting the bike for 1k, not bad imo. My dad (who is going with me) is a rider, a mechanical engineer, drag racer, and has been fixing cars and bikes his whole life. I'm pretty excited.

Side note: anyone have motorcycle insurance in michigan?
