Hey guys, My names Dan and I'm from CT. Just bought my first bike, 02 GSX600F, a couple of months ago. I wanted to find a forum like for my bike because the one I'm apart of for my car has been super helpful. But anyway heres a picture of my bike:

I bought it with 1400 miles on it. It has about 2200 now but that was before I got into an accident. I got hit a couple of weeks ago coming home from school.

Thats the main damage to the bike. Its not to much just a lot of scratches, I just hope the engine is ok.

I had a couple of questions for you guys. Where is the best place to buy parts for this bike? Since the cowlings are all messed up I want to buy new ones. I was wondering if anyone out there with yellow bikes or anyone in general had any ideas to spice up the looks of the bike, color combination's, decals that sort of thing.?

Welcome. I'm a fellow CT rider. Where are you located? Im in the southwest corner.

I might not write off your fairings yet. They don't look too bad, and there are great threads in hear about plastic repair and DIY paint. I did both this spring and I have to say as long as your patient (easier with the upcoming cold/unrideable months) you can come up with some really good results.

What town because you probably live near me. I'm from Monroe.

Hmm, I never thought about fixing it, just thought I had to buy a new one. I just hope the motor is fine, if so I'm probably going to ride it till it snows and then go to work on the cosmetics.
