      Welcome to the forum!
      Q. "What do you think when you see a pretty girl walking down the street" -A. "One side of me says, 'I'd like to talk to her, date her'. The other side of me says , 'I wonder how her head would look on a stick?"

that doesn't sound too good. tried bump-starting it?

welcome to the boards, fellow Canadian =)
the kat may be the gixxer's retarded cousin, but she's a hefty broad... and i do loves me some girth between my thighs.

Welcome to KR. Switch your petcock over to prime, choke it and try again. Switch the petcock back to run after it starts.

Welcome, maybe your battery is weak, not turning over fast enough? or it is flooded. Good luck. Ride safe.

The one you bought was it red? I saw one for sale that was a 1998.

Welcome to the KR family. A great investment is a charger from Canadian Tire.... you won't regret the $20. A weak battery is a Kat's worst nightmare.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

welcome to KR! youll find alot of informative, helpful and friendly people here.
i have a pre 600 and if i let her sit for more than a few days(as in a week) it is some times hard to start.
one thing that might help, if your battery is in fact charged up, is turn your pepcock to the "prime" possition for a couple of cranks.
                        hope this helps.
i found that getting use to the bike can be a little tricky at first, but have faith in her and trust her. if you dont abuse her, shell take good care of ya.
