Welcome, I'm in the over 40 crowd too. I love the sound of my D&D, also had a hindle on my last Katana which was great. I always start with eliminating the rear fender as my first mod, just because I like the look of it and can be done for free or close to it. Good luck.

welcome to KR! i am also in the "middle" bracket as i am 39. this is my second year riding(legally) on a sports bike.
there are many many interesting, polite, helpful, friendly people here. i dont think youll find any other place on the net full of people with the same passions for katana's or even riding for that matter.
i think youll like it here. lots of helpful posts for moding and repair here in the forum.
after market exhausts are one of my favorite mods. i just love the "growl" of a kat. another favorite mod is, "the paint job".
soooo many sweet looking rides ... take a look around and youll see.
