    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site. I purchased a 1997 GSX600FK last week; blue with the yellow and white graphics. Besides a pipe, it's all stock, and from what I can tell, original. It has about 19000 miles on it. The previous owner let it it sit for about two years, and the gas stared to varnish. It's currently getting a carb job at a local shop. Complete tear down and ultasonic cleaning for about $150, which I'm pleased with. I was able to ride it home, but it was idling low and at stops it would stall if I wasn't on the throttle a bit. All-in-all, I paid about $900 for the bike, so the $150 carb cleaning didn't bother me much. Look forward to getting to know you all.
