  • New to the board..

    Just doing the introductory post

New to the board, but Ive been riding Kats since 92..
My first bike at 18 was an FZR400 -- which I planted firmly into a tree lol..
    then I went to a 92 GSX600F - which I rode for a couple of years and traded in on a barely used 93 750 - which I rode untill 02 -- loved it..
Had to sell that one due to family issues baby etc...
Then in 04 bought a CBR600F4i (mainly because I work for Honda and get a fat discount) and went with the 600 because of not riding for a few years didnt want to get talked into the 950RR by the salesman lol...
Sold that in the fall of 08, since I barely rode it and it was kinda small sized for me, Im 6'3" and about 240 -- and one of the guys at work commented I looked like a bear on a circus bike..
Now in a moment of nostalgia and seriously missing having a bike, a bought an old 90 750 that the guy had laid down pretty hard and cosmetically looked pretty rough.. It fired up right off and ran pretty smooth.. considering the damage -- so for $500 I took her home and promptly tore it down to the bare frame and have been going about rebuilding her.. (this started in May) Mechanically she is now complete.. only cosmetics are left .. I repaired all the damaged plastic, replaced what I couldnt repair.. and just so I could ride it this summer I just rattle canned her all black..

Not sure how to post pictures yet .. lol but I took them when I started, stripped down, and as I progressed in returning it to health.. and I need to take a couple of it now with the temporary paint job..

Most people questioned why I would buy a 20 yr old Kat and spend all that money, but 1. Ive always loved my Kats, 2. I love working on my cars and bikes, 3. I got extremely lucky and found a guy parting out a 93 750 and got 90% of the parts I needed from his bike for $200 .. ding!

Anyhow theres the *brief* ahem rundown of my intro..
For me personally - 39yo male, living in Ohio.. finally back on my facorite bike

Whether you ride a harley or sport bike. If you have money to go buy a bike then be smart and buy the gear. Whether its 50 degrees or a 100 degress its ATGATT for me.... But that is just my opinion.
