  • Greetings from EGYPT

    Hi All,
My name is Ramy. I just bought my first Katana 600 (2004).actually this is my first bike EVER!
I am from Cairo, Egypt, and i guess this is the Only Katana here.
I am the Third owner for this bike, and so far it is treating me well, I had only one close encounter with a TRUCK which left some scares on the KAT's fairing
I guess the only problem is that i cannot find KATANA's info/accessories/ aftermarket parts for it over here, even on the internet.
    BUT
I bought it 3 months ago and I am glad that I DID! , reliable, smooth ride -better passenger comfort than most sport bikes- , plenty of power, lots of features in a good looking package.

Hey'a, and welcome aboard! I'm curious how the air filter on your Kat holds up to the sand there? Is it coarse sand, or fine dust sand?

I Think you have never been to Egypt before . its not all sand and camels you know

as I mentined before it have been only 3 moths since i bought the KATANA , BUT , this KATANA was impoerted for its owner via a very well know service shop here , and this service shop have been maintaining the bike since then ..
I shop owner told me that I should pay them a visit every 1K miles for the chain checkup and every 5K miles for the routine service .
and I did not do any air filter change/maintenance so far

You can do the chain service yourself if you are so inclined... it is not very difficult.

You can find a repair manual here at http://katriders.com/wiki
