    Tere are tons of mods you can do, the only limits are your imagination and budget. Use the search button and go to town.

        A couple things that come to mind;

        -You can get an '03+ tail
        -Chop the shovel
        -Install an integrated taillight
        -Some people like HID headlights (I never felt like I was outriding the OEM lamps though)
        -An aftermarket windscreen (or search for the ninja windscreen mod)
        -Some people like to take off the tapesets (I like the look of the OEM decals)
        - http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/ (jet kit)
        -Ignition advancer
        -You can pull the headers and dremel out the bulbous factory weld seams (again- search for tutorial)
        -Slipon exhaust

        That should give you a reasonable start. Nothing, apart from a larger engine, will make it vastly faster. But those mods keep most people happy. Have fun and good luck!

                    Welcome. You can aslo try changing your stock, bulbous rear turn signals to smaller LED ones.
                    How about rim tape to match your bike's color?
                    Remove the center stand for a more sporty look.
                    Clean your chain so you don't look like a slob. Mine was full of caked-on sh*t
                    Paint your front turn signals over to match your fairings and install flush-mount, smaller LED ones above.
                    That's my 2 cents.
                    Enjoy.
