  • Old rider returning to the sport on a big cat!

    Hello the katriders members,

25 years ago I rode a Yami 750 full time, day, night, all weather, daily driver. Now returning to riding and just finished making a deal on a 1988 GSX 1100F with 32,000 kms, mint shape, all stock and taking delivery tomorow. I almost got a 93 Bandit 1200 instead but being an older guy - 50 - these big old bikes from back in the day just look better to me.

Looks like this forum is full of great information for maintenance and mods. I read the 88's have suspension problems. How adjustable is the suspension? Looks like prev owner is a female rider and I'm about 200 lbs so might need to beef things up.

    Thanks

    John Parfitt

glad you are back into things. I haven't a clue about the suspensions on the older kats, but I'm sure someone will be along who will have all the answers you are lookin for
