$20 for premium services. For like the Shoutbox and other parts of the site.

I think for those that do not have paypal we shuold be able to send a money request to your email and you can pay that way even if you do not have a paypal set up. I do this all the time.

I think we might be able to work something out with those that pay the $20 and do not have the min post count to sell stuff. Might work on that as case by case basis.

I like the fifty post minimum for buyer protection. I could see $20.00 taking care of it. If someone's willing to pay $20.00 to post in for sale, it's PROBABLY on the up and up. Then again, if it's selling something of high value($200+), $20.00 is really nothing to lose. Personally, I look at the iTrader rating, post count and sign up date. Just my $0.02.

Sorry Jason. Not at this time for two reasons... one is that I don't current have the ability to get stickers made in bulk. Second is that I would still have to pay SOMETHING for the stickers, which would reduce the cash available to cover the hosting.

Just how much bandwidth does KR use and can some of it be offloaded to a secondary server?

Not that paying $20 is going to break the budget, but wouldn't hurt to have a little help if the site continues to grow

It's not bandwidth, or disk space... so much as server utilization.

At this point in time, we are not considering removing the 50 post minimum. We may in the very near future have a method for sponsored classified ads which would not be subject to the post minimums.

Sounds fair to me!! Honestly, this is the ONLY forum that I belong to (Jeep forum, BMW forum and 2 others) that doesnt charge. And honestly, id feel comfortable paying that fee on KR.. The others, I dont fequent enough to..

Actually, that's not a 100% certainty. The error you see in the wee hours of the morning are the backup and maintenance scripts running.

A: No, Unfortunately this money goes directly toward defraying our costs for hosting and maintaining KR.

Q: Is there a way to get a trial?
A: There are no free trials to the premium membership. You can however purchase a one month subscription for $5 if you would like to support the site, but are a little tight on cash.

Q: Does buying a premium membership mean I am no longer bound by the site rules or code of conduct?
A: No. Premium members are subject to the same rules, guidelines, and code of conduct as regular members. Premium members will receive no special consideration.

Q: What happens when a premium member gets banned?
A: Site bans are one of the few tools available to the staff. If a premium member receives a ban, it will be as before no access to the site.
