  • Hey everyone

I am new to the website and just wanted to say hi. I am a fairly new rider and just bought my first bike a few weeks ago. Its a 1996 Katana 600 and it is a blast. I live in Wilmington, NC and noticed that there are a lot of Carolina people on here which is cool. If anyone wanted to come down to the beach and go for a ride just let me know!

I know this is not the correct spot but I do have an idle issue. Once the bike is warmed up it tends to idle around 3k rpms. I believe it is a vacum issue but figured I'd ask the experts.

I really need to buy a shop manual and start takin it apart. I don't have any experience working on bikes but I have plenty with cars. I don't think it should be a problem. Right now the idle adjustment screw wont even budge. The previous owner told me it was something to do with the vacum line that links the adjustment screw to the carbs. I don't want to start taking things apart without the manual. Know about any online?
