  • Hey guys, Noobie here

    Hey all,

Last summer I bought a 2001 Katana 600. It had 16000 miles on it and had been dropped a few times, but its my first bike, I just wanted to ride.

I am really new to the whole bike thing, and I love to tinker, but I am really unfarmiliar with the mechanics of these things.

It looks like there are a lot of really experienced people here and you guys are really supportive. Seems that you guys are going to be able to help me out a lot.

figured I'd add a couple picks of my bike while I'm at it

Welcome to the KR family. Only minor rash from what I can tell. We've all been there, and it's fixable. Ride safe.

Welcome, lots of good info and advice here, I'm quite new to site as well. I bought a 2000 kat in early fall with the same asphalt wounds as yours. I am in the middle of 03+ tail swap and body/paint job. Got most of the info on here for the Mods. Good luck and ride safe.
