I just dragged home a 1982 GS1000SZ that is in need of a full on restoration.



I've been a fan of DOHC Hondas for a long time but this is my first Suzuki.
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions once I decide what I want to do with the Katana.

Bike doesn't look to be in too bad of shape in that pic, other than a little rust on the rear shock springs, the small cover on the engine, and possibly the rear wheel. Good luck with it, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome - it's rougher than it looks. Not sure what the story is behind the bike. The seller told me it was put away in 1987 and hasn't been ridden since (the engine moves freely). It's undoubtedly the worse bike I've seen for the miles it has;
