  • Hi from Aus

    G'day guys and girls.

My names Michael and i am from Nowra, which is a few hours south of Sydney in NSW, Australia.
I have recently purchased a black 99 GSXF750, "Katana" to you folks and i am pretty excited to find this site, there appears to be heaps of info on the bike.

The bike is 100% stock atm besides some oxford hot grips which i have just installed but i am looking forward to doing some small mods like changing the indicators to some smoked ones and a fender eliminator.

I also own a 95 suzuki gsx250f which is known as a suzuki across. Im not to sure if this bike was delivered to the states or not.

Heres a photo of the two together.
Note the across now has a screen

Anyway i look forward to reading some of your posts to learn a bit more about my bike

    Cheers
    Michael

I poured spot remover on my dog. Now he's gone.

G'day and welcome! I'm down near Melbourne, myself, so it's always nice to see another Aussie about the place. I've seen the Suzuki Across (a mate of mine had one a while back), but I didn't know it was so closely related to the Katana (at least in terms of model code). Do you use the 250 as a commuter?

              Cheers,

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
I dont really ride the 250 much anymore, it mainly gets used by my girlfriend who is still on her L's. Its hard to ride the 750 and then go back to the 250. It revs and revs but has 0nm of torque and just doesnt seem to get anywhere lol

Yeah, I can kinda get that. I haven't thrown a leg over anything smaller since obtaining my GSX750F, but my memories of highway performance from my Kwaka GPX250 seem a little insipid now.

Great that your gf is riding--that's one thing I miss. Herself won't get onto my bike (or any other) before our kids are old enough to be independant. I get her logic, but I miss her company too. It'd be SENSATIONAL to go out for a blast with a partner!

                              Cheers,
