  • It should come as no surprise...

that I'm another new Katana owner, given that I'm posting in the 'Introductions' forum.

The bike has has the following:
-New Pirelli Tires balanced w/ Dyna beads.
    -Full Vance & Hines exhaust
    -New battery
-Rebuilt front calipers w/ New Pads
-Rebuilt Forks w. 2500 miles (from last owner)
-Repainted swing arms w. bearings repacked.
    -Flamm Horn
    -Compression checked motor
    -Valve job
-Oil , Filter and spark plugs replaced 250 miles ago
    -Newer Shock w/ 5000 miles
-Brake system has been bled front and rear.
-Reupholstered Seat with boat leather. Great for 2 up!

    Now for the bad:
    -The plastics don't fit 100%
-Speedo has a chipped face and glass

The bike was dropped by previous owner and has scratches on the right brake handle , brake fluid reservoir , exhaust. Bike runs great and needs no carb work. Will include extra brake pads for front. This price includes timing advancer
The previous two owners seem to have maintained the bike (mechanically) fairly well. The wiring for the turn signals is a hack job, which I'll fix over the next few weeks. The fairings and tank need new paint, which I'll probably do this winter. Currently, I'm just going to clean them up a bit and remove the decals/residue that remains. The gauge cluster is a wreck, so I bought a used one off of Ebay. I took the bike out for its maiden voyage yesterday and I love it. It fits me so much better than the GN125 I had at the MSF course in May. In fact, I'd even venture to say the bike is comfortable.

For those of you that can't tell from the pictures below, the bike is a 1989 Suzuki GSX600F Katana. I think I got a decent deal at $1550 with a (still sealed in the package) timing advancer included. Power delivery seems very linear and quite enjoyable and overall, I'm fairly happy with the bike so far.

Tightened up some bolts today and replaced the gauge cluster this past week. Its coming along. Overall, not too bad, but I seem to have something loose (or broken) in the speedo cable as the speedometer is quite jittery.
